Arthritis & Osteoporosis Tasmania is committed to supporting members of the Tasmanian community to better understand their conditions and the evidence-based strategies they can utilise to prevent and/or manage them.
As part of this commitment, we facilitate a Community Information Services that offers trained speakers who can deliver information sessions on a range of topics to community groups throughout our State. The primary topics of these sessions are:
- Living Well with Arthritis and Osteoporosis
- Moving Well with Arthritis and Osteoporosis
- Bone Health Basics
- Pain Explained
Session content and duration can be tailored to meet the needs of your group.
Our Information Sessions are typically free of charge to unfunded community groups. However, donations are gratefully received as they assist us with the costs associated with travel and facilitation of the session. For sessions in small regional towns we may need to incorporate the requested session into another planned visit to the area.
Ideally, we ask that the session audience be no less than 10 persons.
Community groups wishing to book a session should complete the online Expression of Interest Form below or call us on 1800 011 041.
